On December 18, 2007, David Bernard and his wife Marla enjoyed lunch with New Orleans fullback Mike Karney at Cafe Latte II in Metairie, La.
The couple enjoyed a healthy lunch while discussing the upcoming holidays and the ups and downs of the football season with Karney. Both the Bernards are fans of the football player and were glad to have the opportunity to meet with him.
Cafe Latte II owners Lisa and Brent Normand are fans of the Black and Gold as well. They show their colors throughout the restaurant with fleur-de-lis decorations and posters of Mike Karney himself.
